The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water was renamed from the Department of Regional Development and Manufacturing on 12 November 2020 following machinery of government changes.

Equity and diversity plan

Our Equity and diversity plan establishes objectives, strategies and targets for the employment of people who are members of one or more diversity target groups. The plan supports the department in achieving our responsibilities under Section 28 of the Public Sector Act 2022, to improve equity and diversity within the department in relation to employment matters.

Reframing the relationship plan

The Reframing relationships with First Nations peoples – Our plan for being and working together 2023-2026 (PDF, 12.0MB) is our commitment and path forward to how we will reframe and build stronger relationships with Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The plan has been developed following consultation with employees from across the agency. We particularly acknowledge the input from our Aboriginal employees and Torres Strait Islander employees and the guidance of our Interim First Nations Advisors in the development of this plan.

Disability service plan

The Disability service plan reflects our commitment to diversity and respect for individuals. It sets out how we will create, promote and sustain opportunities and services to allow people of all abilities equal participation in the community.

Multicultural action plan

The Queensland Multicultural Action Plan sets out a whole-of-government approach for implementing policy priorities in accordance with the Multicultural Recognition Act 2016. Responsibility for delivery on policy outcomes is shared across government agencies. You can view our yearly progress reports below.
